Legoland

We took a field trip to Legoland yesterday for Michael's birthday.  He has been wanting to go for some time and we discovered that there are discounted tickets for homeschoolers every Monday. The weather was beautiful and there were very few people at the park so we didn't have to wait in line! The kids even got a chance to take a class and experiment with Lego robots. Unfortunately, we don't have any pictures right now. We forgot the camera and had to buy a disposable. Stay tuned for the pictures.

Little School on the Driveway

Well, school has started again. Nastassja & Michael are being homeschooled again this year in our "Little School on the Driveway" as Jennifer calls it, and they are now in the 7th & 5th grade, respectively. We can hardly believe it. They don't listen to us and keep growing up! Seriously, they are a pleasure and it is wonderful to be able to be so involved in their lives. We are focusing a lot on Spanish & music this year and are looking forward to all of the fun activities & events that a school year brings.

Camping Trip

Every year we take one or two camping trips to the San Bernardino mountains. We just got back from our trip and it was a blast. We had a wonderful, secluded camping site right on the Santa Ana river, the weather was beautiful, and the kids ate lots of smores! (Look at the picture to see how many Michael had.) We enjoyed hiking, playing by and in the river, and just spending time together as a family. You will find more pictures at the link below.

Wild Animal Park

We had a field trip to the Wild Animal Park in Escondido. What a fun time. Last time we went, it was pouring rain. We had the park almost to ourselves, but we were soaked. Praise God for a beautiful sunny day this time around. You can check out more pictures from our trip at Flickr.
